Shelton died at Saint Peter Hospi-
tal in Olympia on Saturday, June
24. He was 59 years old.
Born in Shelton on December 16,
1929, Mr. LaClair was a member of
Saint Edwards Roman Catholic
Church. His hobbies included
hunting and baseball. Mr. LaClair
had worked as a timber cutter for
Simpson until his retirement in
1986.
Surviving are his wife, Turumi
LaClair, of Shelton; two sons,
Douglas LaClair Jr., of Seattle and
Larry Peterson of Skokomish; one
daughter, Elena Miller of Skoko-
mish; five grandchildren; and two
brothers, Adam LaClair and
Duane Ward, both of Shelton.
Funeral services were held on
Wednesday, June 28, at Saint
Edward’s Roman Catholic Church.
The Reverend Edward Receconi,
Order of Saint Benedict, officiated.
Mr. LaClair was buried at Shelton
Memorial Park. Arrangements
were under the direction of
McComb and‘ Batstone Funeral
Home.
