Laura Mae Valley. 86, of
Shelton, died Thursday, July 15,
at Fir Lane Terrace Convalescent
Center.
She was born June 20, 1896
in Farmington, Maine,rand came
to Shelton as a teenager. She
graduated from Irene S. Reed
High School and Western
Washington College in
Bellingham. She taught school in
Elma before marrying Jerry S.
Valley on August 6, 1919.
Mrs. Valley was a 50-year
member of the First Baptist
Church in Shelton and had filled
many church positions including
pianist. Sunday school teacher.

In 1942 she moved to Camp

Mrs. Valley is survived by her
daughter, Margaret Rayburn.

Shelton and Dal Valley, Kodiak,
Alaska; 16 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-gmndchildreni
Funeral services were
Monday, July 19, at Batstone
Funeral Home with the reverends
Howard Spears and Jerry
Hamilton officiating. Burial was
