When Girl Scout Troop
44017 from Lake Stevens,
showed up at 4-year-old Han-
nah Mae Campbell’s house on
Saturday, May 14 with tools,
toys and huge smiles on their
faces, the Campbell clan was
thrilled.
The troop of 10 girls brought
with them dads and other
helpers to build Hannah Mae
her very own playhouse and
other outside toys.
Hannah Mae was born with a
very rare heart disease known
as Diffuse Rhabdomyomato-
sis. She is the only diagnosed
survivor and has endured a
lifetime of surgeries, dozens of
blood transfusions and only a
few trips to local parks.
Because of Hannah Mae’s
compromised immune sys-
tem, she is unable to be around
most other kids and doesn’t
even get to go to the grocery
with her mom.

then taken to the Lake Stevens
Food Bank’s storage facility
where it was sorted and stored
by dozens of volunteers in-
cluding Miss Aquafest Royalty
and their families.
Over 11,532 pounds of food
was collected that Saturday af-

The Stamp Out Hunger Food

a better time since the Food
Bank was nearly out of food.
