RE: 280 Grove Acre Avenue
Dear Richard,
I found our copy of the subdivision map for P. G. Acres, which shows block 321 and your ponion of
Grove Acre Avenue. This map was first filed in June of 1919. As of this 1919 map, your portion of
Grove Acre has a notation stating that it is NOT part of the subdivision. Only the large lots on either end
(now Melton Place and Pico Place) were included in the subdivision. I suspect the lots in the middle,
which includes your lot number 9, were subdivided later, probably 1926 or later. In any event, the tax
assessor's book for 1926 does not list any of these lots (9 thru 12), so as ofMarch 1926, it had notyet
been further subdivided. It obviously was subdivided soon afterwards.
