Your request was researched by the Heritage Society Research Team and submitted to the Pacific Grove Heritage Society's Board of Directors at our October 2014 board meeting and approved. Tax and assessor records indicate that the property was first assessed in 1916 and that the original owners of record were Stephen and Mary Smith. Although a number of design changes and the demolition of a deteriorating lean to structure in the back yard were approved by the ARB and undertaken in 1990, the resultant changes did not compromise the original historical integrity of the home. The Board, after reviewing current photos of your home, concurred that the historical integrity of your home was intact. You will be contacted by the P. G. Heritage Society when the plague is completed. It normally takes three to six months to complete a plague, based upon the number of plaques in process. You can pick up the plague at the P. G.
