Ralph Magnusson Ralph Magnus on died Tues- day, August” I, at Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 73 and a resident of Olympia. He was born October 2, 1927 in Gardner, North Dakota. After high school, he served in the Navy and later attended Wahpe- ton State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He moved to Ketchikan, Alas- ka, in 1954 and relocated to Sit- ka, Alaska, in 1959. He was a member of the Amer- ican Legion, Loyal Order ofMoose and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He was very active with the Sitka Elks Lodge, ser- ving as an officer locally, and at the state and district levels. Mr, Magnusson was employed by Alaska Pulp Corporation from 1959 until he retired in 1983, After retiring, he moved to Olympia and continued to be in» volved in the Shelton Elks Lodge and numerous bowling leagues. He had a love for all animals and was also very proud of his Icelandic heritage. He is survived by his wife, Jean Magnusson of Olympia; chil- dren Lesleann Moore of Shelton, Noel Magnusson of Olympia, Kar- la Hubbell‘onelm, Susan Leland of Shelton, stepdaughter Benita Feil of Sacramento, California, and their families; brother Norval Magnusson of Bellingham and sister Caroline Bullinger of Olym- pia and their families.
