Officers said Brigham, whose
identity was revealed by the State
Patrol. called Sheriff Wally
Anderson about 1 am. Sunday
stating he thought he had struck
something on the Arcadia Road
on his way home.
He told Anderson he stopped
at the time. but. was unable
to find anything at the scene.

Mrs. Valley's body was fuund
by her husband. Gordon, shortly
betore am. Sunday. otticers
estimated she died some time
between 12 :30 and 1 am. Sunday.
The body was found in a ditch
along side the mad about an
eighth of a mile trom Highway
101 along Arcadia Road.
Valley had looked ior his wife
for several hours aiter finding
that she was neither at a friend's
home where he was to have
met her upon returning irom out.

Department An ambulance and
a police ntricer were sent to the
scene where it was determined
she was already dead.
The investigation is being
handled by the Sheriff's Office
and Ragan .in his capacity as
coroner.
Funeral services for Mrs. Val.
ley will be held at 10 am. to~
day in St. Edward’s Catholic
church with Fri Gabriel Dono-
hue conducting the mass. Rosary
was recited at 7:30 pm at Eatv
stone Funeral Home Tuesday.
Burial will be in Shelton Me-
moriai Park.
Mrs. Valley was born March
6, 1543 in Dickinson, N. D. She
had lived in Shelton the past
11 years and made her home
at Rt. 3. Box 284. She was a
member of St Edward's Catholic
Church.
Survivors include her husband,
Gordon, Shelton; three daugh-
ters. Donna Marie. Billie Ann
and Marlyn Ilene, all at home;
her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
iam Rhodes. Shelton: four broth.
ers. William D. Rhodes, Smyona,
Tenn; and Frank. diester and
Robert Rhodes, all of Shelton;
rive sisters. Delores. Beverly.
Judy. Mary and Theresa Rhodes.
all of Shelton. and her grand-
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Leech. Dickinson. N. D,
