The first owner is listed as Finley Garrigus.
This is a good example of the first attempts at decorating the original
board and batten homes of the City. This house is not just a covered
tent. The symmetrical plan is offset by a double porch - perhaps the
building has been used for 2 residences. The decorated shingles show
more attention to individual design. In -its small simple design, it is
typical of the California bungalow.
