The ligritage @oeietg of Paeifie Grove P.O. Box 1007 • Pacific Grove • California • 93950 • • www.pacificgroveheritage. org May 9, 2014 Christine Crozier 520 9 Street Pacific Grove, California 93950 Dear Christine: This letter is in response to your February 27, 2014 Plague Request for your home at 520 9th Street in Pacific Grove. Your request was researched by the Heritage Society Research Team and submitted to the Pacific Grove Heritage Society's Board ofDirectors at our May 2014 meeting and unanimously approved. Tax and assessor records indicate that the property was first assessed in 1893, which was when the home was originally built, and that he original was Louisa M. Wright. Although we were unable to find any older photos of you home, but we do have a 1977 photo of your home that was attached to a 1977 Pacific Grove Historic Resources Inventory Report. A copy ofthe report and the subject photo is attached. The work performed on your home, i.e. replacing the existing foundation; replacement of worn windows and frames; removing the aluminum siding and restoring the prior wood siding and replacing the prior steps, railings and arbors enhanced the historical integrity of your home. The Board felt you did a wonderful job. You will be contacted by the P. G. Heritage Society when the plague is completed. It normally takes three to six months to complete a plague, depending on the number of plaques in process. You can pick up the plague at the P. G. Heritage Society Barn at 605 Laurel Avenue in Pacific Grove. Thank you for your interest in the Heritage Society of Pacific Grove. Ifyou have any questions please feel free to contactus at (831) 372- 2898. 0.472/ e,_.
