who defies conventional musical categories and labels. “High tech
pop-rock” probably comes closest to describing Wopat’s unique
blend of guitar and vocal virtuosity With .19905 music technology.
Utilizing a computer-controlled eight-track sequencer, synthesizers,

and programmable drums, Dave produces a singular live sound for
a solo artist, with up to nine separate instruments programmed to
perform simultaneously with his live guitar and vocals.
This versatility has enabled Dave to be first choice as opening
act for a wide variety of artists such as Michael Martin Murphey,
Robert Klein, Dave Mason and Louise Mandrell. He also made a
highly successful television debut as the featured performer on
NBC’s “Fantasy.”

Talented songwriter, performer and artist, is one of
the emerging stars from the Nashville scene. Bill’s second album
“Old Dreams and New Hopes” was released in April 1987 on his
own label, Windspirit Music. ’
Bill has opened for John Prine, the Pure Prairie League and
Michael Martin Murphey. Bill’s distintive style of music and writing
ranges from acoustic ballads to country rock. His native American
heritage lends a flavor to his performances and programs that is
unique in the college entertainment field.
Bill Miller will be appearing on all four campuses in late October.

students pursuing the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service
that extends beyond a particular campus to regional and national
networks. In their pursuit, PTK members have created and are con-
tinuing to create an enduring spirit of excellence.
Phi Theta Kappa is the only honor society for community and
junior colleges. To join PTK you must have completed 12 credit
hours of attendance, maintained an overall average of 3.0 and have
made at least a 3.5 during one term. Eligible candidates will
receive a letter of invitation. Monthly meetings are the second
Saturday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Kent Campus main
auditorium. Meetings also take place at South Campus N-103 the
