Calem LaCombe Calem M. LaCombe, age 73, died Sunday, January 14, of nat- ural causes in his home of 15 years in Tahuya. He was born on September 15, 1922 to Peter and Mae LaCombe in Newcastle. Mr. LaCombe attended college for two years, enjoyed writing po- etry, and was a member of the Masonic lodge. He served in the United States Navy for 32 years, retiring as a chief warrant officer. He was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
