Richard Baertschiger Richard Henry Baertschiger, 81, of Belfair, died at the Belmont Terrace Nursing Home on Satur— day, December 74 He was born on May 16, 1915 in Bremerton, where he was raised and educated. Mr, Baertschiger went to work at the Puget Sound Naval Ship- yard in 1944 and worked there for 35 years, retiring in 1979. He married Florence A, John- son in Seattle on February 22, 1952, He and his wife had been residents of Mason County for the past 34 years. Mr. Baertschiger enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, swimming and working in the woods. He is survived by his wife, Florence of the family home; his sons, Randy L. and John R., both of Belfair; his daughter, Mary Lou Nelson of Belfair; his twin brother, Frank of Oak Harbor; his sister, Ida Hefner of Bremerton; and 14'grandchildren;. Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 14, at the Belfair Community Baptist Church.
